I am planning to knit one for Little Sir, though he isn't yet one, he is pretty big and I figured the 2 yo size would be fine as well (and I tend to knit pretty tightly). Yes, the fit of the Wallaby is a remnant, I think, of when it was written (the 80s, I believe?) My son is 4.5 and I also make him the size 8. I think the last time I made one for my 22mo daughter, I did the size 4. Hey, I have another dress pattern for you...I *never* get this magazine but picked it up yesterday because my husband is traveling for work.
