That is good to know about the sizing. I am planning to knit one for Little Sir, though he isn't yet one, he is pretty big and I figured the 2 yo size would be fine as well (and I tend to knit pretty tightly). But it's so cute, I love deep, rich colors on babies. Great knitting!

That's a nice color for a baby sweater. A lot of baby sweater patterns I've come across tend to run small, but maybe your Wallaby will stretch a bit with blocking. :-)

Very cute. Yes, the fit of the Wallaby is a remnant, I think, of when it was written (the 80s, I believe?) My son is 4.5 and I also make him the size 8. I think the last time I made one for my 22mo daughter, I did the size 4. Hey, I have another dress pattern for you...I *never* get this magazine but picked it up yesterday because my husband is traveling for work. Check out the "toddler summer jumper" in the middle of the second-to-bottom row:

The directions seem pretty easy, although the yarn called for is a tad expensive for me, I think I may have some stash I can use.

Very sweet! I just bought this pattern too but don't know when I'll get to it. Hopefully soon. Was it easy?
