Hi! I’m so glad you made it to my new blog. Welcome!
What’s New?
Not much is different, all the posts from the old blog appear here, but the changes are sort of fun. First of all, I own my domain and that is completely awesome. I feel like a grown-up (finally). You can also use the Share button at the bottom of each post to add the info to your favorite social networking site.
I also have a Classes page, which has all the details about my upcoming teaching schedule. If you’re from the area (Greensboro, Winston-Salem, or High Point, NC) then please have a look at that. There is also a newsletter for folks interested in taking any of my upcoming classes. You can use the sign-up form in the sidebar. Of course, anyone can sign up for the newsletter, but it’s definitely geared to those of you who live in or near Central North Carolina.
As before, I have listed all of my patterns – free and for sale – on the sidebar and on the Patterns page. In the future I plan to set up a shopping cart feature, but for now FREE downloads are available only through Ravelry. You do not have to be a Ravelry member to download FOR SALE patterns; just click the BUY NOW button that appears to make your purchase through Paypal.
It’s a Giveaway!
As a thank you for visiting my brand spanking new blog, I’m giving away some patterns. Next week I’m going to be ready to release my new colorwork hat pattern, End of May. But you can win the pattern before it goes on sale!

I want to end with a big THANK YOU to all of the readers. You make this whole blogging thing worthwhile and fun. Thank you a million times!!

I love your End of May pattern. It’s gorgeous! I’m gonna friend you on Ravelry. Does that count as “subscribing to the news feed”?
Hi, I commented over in ravelry, too (I’m climbergirl over there), but I just wanted to let you know that I LOVE your new End of May pattern. I rarely knit things from established patterns, preferring to tinker and write my own patterns, but this is absolutely gorgeous and something I would definitely knit.
Congratulations on your new blog, owning your own domain, and your lovely patterns. I’ll definitely be following you in the future!

If I win your End of May pattern, my hat will be done by the end of July! I really think it’s spectacular. I’ve always loved damask patterns and this little headwarmer is truly a head turner. Thanks so much for sharing your great design.
Wow, this is a gorgeous pattern. I think I’ll make it in blue and white, like Delft ceramic tiles. You are a great designer.
You have beautiful designs! I’ve bookmarked and subscribed. Please enter me into your giveaway. On ravelry I’m Dare2BDifferent. Thanks!
Love the new hat pattern! I really hope to make it in the fall.
The green is a bit hard to read on the blue, btw.
Thanks, Melanie! I’ll probably do some color tweaks tonight. Thanks for the tip.
Hello from the Triangle to the Triad
Love the new pattern!
I love this hat and have never colorwork before but am wanting to learn with a pretty and inspirational pattern like this! I have bookmarked your blog, love all of your designs!
I love this hat! I’ve been looking at a lot of colorwork patterns lately, and I can’t wait to knit this one– probably in pink and red!
Thank you for posting (and creating) such a beautiful pattern! I can’t wait to knit one up… until then I’ll just have to dream about which yarn and which colors to use.
I love renaissance history and get a kick out of working bits of the renaissance into my every day life. This hat pattern fits the bill!
Grats on the new domain, that’s an exciting step!
I love your End of May pattern. I’ve been looking for a nice feminine toque for a while and I think I just found it. I’m glad I found your blog too, it’s great!

I don’t have a feed, but please put me in the drawing anyway I love the new hat pattern!
Beautiful hat. I’m thinking of using a space-dyed yarn for the flowers. This is the kind of colorwork project I love, plus the knit in hem will keep my ears warm! Thanks for posting about it.
I love the colorwork of the End of May hat. Thanks for having a contest and happy knitting.
I also love your “end of may” pattern! it’s gorgeous. i’ve not really had much experience with this type of knitting before, but i would love a copy to try my hand at it!

Amy

This pattern is fabulous! I’ve done the subscribe to feeds and i’m now off to find you on Rav.
End of May is absolutely beautiful. I can’t wait until it is available!
I am so excited for you!!! You are all grown up in the blog world now! ;o) I just wish some of your classes would come here to Charlotte
Now you KNOW I updated my feeds! I was almost crushed when I read your other blog title “Goodbye, for now”…I gasped briefly!! Thank goodness it was just a change in blog homes!
And thanks for the contest! I’ve been eyeing the heart and fingerless mitt pattern for awhile now!!
I saw your hat on Ravelry and came over to your site to find out all the info. Congratulations on your domain and new website! I have started to follow you with my google reader and look forward to it! I love the hat and had one question, why the name? Usually at the end of May I am all done wearing hats, even pretty ones like yours.
End of May…well, I designed this hat at the end of May after a spell of not having any knitting mojo. At all. The design came together really quickly after the inspiration. The name has been with the design from the beginning. Thanks!
I subscribed on iGoogle!
I’d love to knit this hat!
Your hat “End of May” is beautiful. It caught my eye in Ravelry. I wish you good luck with your new “home”. Just a comment….the links on the page are almost unreadable due to the color I think. Could just be my monitor tho.
I’ve changed the colors. If it’s still unreadable, do let me know. Thanks!
Yay for your new blog! It is indeed fancy
As soon as I publish this comment, I’m updating the old feed!
Great job. I had a problem reading the other color also, but I see someone pointed it out. It looks like your hard work paid off.
Awesome hat. I love the colors. I hadn’t seen your blog before, but have added your feed to my reader. I found you from your pattern post on Ravelry. Way to go!
love the pattern! With the colors, it looks like something my mom would have worn when she was a kid. So cute!
Mandy, I love the End of May hat pattern and want to knit it in the fall. I am currently knitting the fingerless mitts from the class you taught end of March/first of April. Love them!
Beautiful hat! I love the pattern – a nice change from the everpresent 8 pointed stars.. my daughter would love this.
This is my first visit to your blog. I saw your amazing hat while browsing the new patterns on ravelry. I have never knit anything this intricate, but I would love to give it a try!
I love the new pattern!
And as far as the new site – if I may make a suggestion, the green on the blue is super hard to read. I don’t know if it’s meant to be on a white background and didn’t load, but I just figured you may like to know. I usually use a feed reader, so it’s not a huge issue on my end, but but it may be for new readers.
I’m glad you pointed this out. It is supposed to be on a white background. It is on my computer, anyway. I guess I need to dig deeper into this! Thanks.
Of COURSE I’m following you to your new blog. Fun giveaway! You’re sure to have some happy winners. Yippee! ♥
Congratulations on having your own blog address! I always look forward to your new posts, and have updated my reader so I don’t miss out
Love your End of May hat. I’ve also been eyeing I Heart You since it first appeared on Ravelry! I just subscribed and bookmarked you.
Wow, what a lovely hat! And a lovely new blog too! Congrats!
I love the hat, and the website! I’m all updated with Reader, and can’t wait to see more of the patterns and knitting.
I was hoping that you’d sell that pattern! I saw it on Ravelry and it’s beautiful!
Very lovely hat!
I love your new pattern! and I’d love to be entered in this contest! I’ve already bookmarked and subscribed
