Yesterday, with the help of family and friends, I celebrated the release of The Red Collection with a book signing and trunk show at the local yarn shop. It was such a fun day, and I could feel the support and love from everyone!

Big thanks especially to Peggy and Natalie at Common Threads who not only agreed to host, but were there to help the whole time, and even put together a slew of kits (big job, that is). Mwah! They are awesome.

Here are some of the patterns on display, knitted in the yarn that is available at the yarn shop.

From left: Radio Frequency Hat in Ultra Alpaca Light, Mallory Hat in Rowan Felted Tweed, Heartless Hat in Baby Alpaca Grande, and Holly Jean Hat in Cascade 220, knitted by the very talented Michelle.

There were cookies.

Ziggity Mitten Cookies! They came from The Sweet Shoppe Bakery in High Point, and they were super yummy and ziggity.

When I arrived, I immediately saw the display featuring my pattern in the new Stitch ‘n Bitch book on the signing table, where I sat to sign books.

And the star of the book, Mallory, came and posed for a sort of meta picture of herself holding a book with pictures of herself.

I had my family there, and having family come to hang out in a yarn shop is pretty funny and awesome.

Mom and Dad! After an hour or two in a yarn shop, my Dad started entertaining the crowd by trying on mittens and tickling my Mom.

Me? I was so happy.

Thank you to everyone who helped, brought goodie bags for my kids to play with, came to buy the book, bought a kit, and showed their support for this very humbled local knitter.

Don’t forget, you have until Wednesday, November 3 at 6pm to enter the Stitch ‘n Bitch giveaway! Comment on the giveaway post for your chance to win!
